Step 3: Shop for homes

Start touring homes in your desired price range. Its important to make a list of pros and cons. I will walk you through the details about the plumbing and electrical systems. Its important to take your time and pay attention to all the details. When you are ready and have found your dream home we can write the offer. Keep in mind if you were the seller, how would you feel about the same offer on your house? Of course everyone wants a bargain but be reasonable when making an offer.

Step 4: The Inspection and Appraisal

Inspections are not mandatory but I highly recommended. It also helps you to negotiate a better deal if something is in need of repair. Keep in mind when purchasing an older home, it is not going to be a perfect house and some repairs might be needed.

After the purchase and sales is signed your lender will arrange for an appraiser to provide an independent estimate of the value of the house you are buying. The appraisal makes sure the house is worth what you are paying for it!

Step 5: Closing Day!

On the closing day you will sign the papers to purchase your new house! Once the payment is recorded you get the keys!
